The bright light! Please

Posted by Picasa

Eric flashed on the lights this morning and Wyatt was not happy about it. It's the first time I've seen him cover his eyes as opposed to just squintng really really bad!

He looks like he had a long night =)

slow down father time

I am literally watching Wyatt grow before my eyes.
I think he's beginning to play me a bit. He's very clear about what he wants and when he isn't going to tolerate any of mama's nonsense.

Today He spent all day with Eric as I had to work from 5:30a until 5p. ( a couple of step classes , some water time and then home for the bath routine.)
When I got home the energy in the room was odd. It was if both of my boys were saying "thank goodness Mama's home.... I need a break!"

I LOVE LOVE LOVE being able to spend a ton of time with Wyatt and I now see clearly that my career change in anticipation of the little guy was a good decision.

Pelvis pain

So during one of the exercises yesterday I began to have severe pain in my pelvic bones. It was wild. I had no strength to get through the movement with good form and the muscles/bones/ligamnet combo felt like they were on fire.
Doing a quick google search on the scenario I have identfied that this is pretty common.
The fix as you'd guess is gentle pelvic floor exercises to try to reestablish strength in those muscles that were massecred during labor.
It is very frustrating to not be in good shape for the moment. I know the only way to be fit is to get offmy tail and do it so that is what we gotta do!

worn out

Today Wyatt and I were busy with something ALL day.

We got up at 5:30a to eat and were on the road by 6:30a.
I took him with me to Bracken house for an early morning workout. He did not sleep the whole time as he had in the past. Today he decided he needed to be up and out of his seat. I held him for a bit as I tried to instruct my clients in their exercises but soon decided that if he could be content with some tummy time then that would bea good idea.

After the workout we went to visit our pal Pam at concannon's and then to see Mi Mi Rose for a few minutes at her work. While there she got to show him off to her co-workers which is aways fun.
After all that a good nap was in order so we both had one!
Around 415p I decided I should go exercise. SO we loaded up and went to BMH.
Again he decided tht his seat was not going to get it so I got him out and began to console. This time he was a little more adament tht it was time to eat. So I worked to get him fed quickly and back to the workout. Afterwards we hit the grocery store and were on our way home. we got home a little after 7 put away the groceries and it was bath and bed ritual time.
Eric rocked him to sleep and all has been good in the hood since.

I am completely exhausted and not really planning to do a lot tomorrow. I'd like to go for a little jog and work int he flowers but I may not get to it.... we'll see =)

I do want to note the following... my abs are in pitiful shape! I can't do nearly the core work I once could. It is amazing how much my body has changed... It seems a long road back to being fit as a fiddle but what else do I have to work on right?

Archery Shoot and Church!

So yesterday Wyatt spent all day and most of the evening with his MiMi

I have to tell you that although he was fine and well cared for I was miserable ALL day long. I couldn't eat, had not interest in doing anything at all besides waiting for him to come home. When 7pm ( bath time and beginning of the bed time ritual) came around and no Wyatt I really went into an anxious space.
Eric finally called and got a plan for m y baby to return at 9p ( well past our normal routine). Once he got home I had to hold on to him for a while. Eric wanted to rock him as well but becuase I had been pining all day long I took him from his daddy. ( although Eric didn't admit it I believe he was aching for him as well).

It was really sad. Wyatt was fine and likely had no anxiety at all but ME... I was a mess.

This morning Eric overslept and was in a rush to get to the conservation club for an archery shoot. Wyatt and I went out there for breakfast and then went to Farmland Friends for Church.
It was Wyatt's first service. As we walked in he was totally intrigued with the lights and sounds. He was bouncing on my legs as we waited for things to get started.
His Great Great Aunt Karla was there and we Sat with Jason and Amy Chamberlain.
the message was about "Fear of Rejection" and how we ought to work to please God and not man.

After the service Wyatt was pretty sleepy so we came home for lunch and a nap in the swing.

MAY DAYS in Tn

Last week we traveled to TN for the second time in 7 weeks. Everytime I go I have a ton of stuff I want to do that I don't get too. THis time was no different.

The weather was sorta crummy too as it rained some every day and most days were totally rained out.
Wyatt and I helped his Nana D spring clean. It was like an episode of "Clean House".
We got to utilize the good will store in Maynardville for the first time. I'm not convincced it will make it based on the less than eager employees I engaged with.

I got to hang out with my Cousin Josh and his Fiance' which was a ton of fun. We tend to like doing a lot of the same things,,, shopping, rummage sales, exercising etc...The neat part about this trip was getting to see the house they are planning to buy. How exciting... we're still waiting to see if it comes through etc

Baby Wyatt changed every day while we were there. Now he is well aware of his feet and legs. He likes to splash in the tub and kick in the gym! ( his little play gym of course)
His little face is much more full and no one could believe how big he was. My gran told me that I had "rich milk". Not sure if that is good or bad.=)

Right now I'm contemplating the "vaccination" dilemma as we are approaching the 2 months mark. =(
More to come.

Derby Day

So I'm watching the derby hooplah and wondering what a mint julep really tastes like as I have never drank one.

Today I took Wyatt out to the conservation club for a couple of hours. Eric and some pals were running their first archery shoot for the year.
While there Wyatt had two # 2 diapers and one was a mess they came to visit on the outside of his pants! I hate that. I think the diapers need a better poop pouch in them.
Roxy got dressed up and went a long as well. She was visitng every person coming into and out of the place.

While at the club Papaw Funk came to visit Wyatt. Wyatt has only spit up about three times since his birth and today just so happened to be one of those times. He spit up on his papaw within mintes of Mark taking him. Wierd.

We used our Moby sling today. I really like the sling but haven't quite figured out the perfect fitting for it yet. Wyatt was ok with the sling when he was sleeping but once awake he was pushing around like he wanted out. It reminded me of how he moved in the womb. Pushing and flippin around. He was stretching his arms and legs, twisting his head and I could imagine that was what it looked like while he was in the womb.
